This Privacy Policy describes how MakeProSimp (“MakeProSimp”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when merchants install and use Promote Me | Many apps in one (the “App”) on the Shopify platform. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Shopify version of the App and does not apply to other MakeProSimp products, applications, or websites.
1. Scope
This policy applies exclusively to merchants using the App through Shopify and to information processed through Shopify-authorized APIs and permissions.
2. Definitions
Merchant means the Shopify merchant who installs and uses the App. Store means the Shopify store associated with the Merchant. Customer Data means information relating to the Merchant’s customers processed through Shopify. Personal Data means information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Processing includes collecting, storing, using, transmitting, deleting, or otherwise handling information. Services means the App and related support services provided by MakeProSimp.
3. Information We Collect
Depending on the features enabled and the permissions granted by the Merchant, we may collect or process: merchant and store-owner information, including name, email address, phone number, physical address, business information, store identifier, and installation details; customer email addresses and other customer data required for enabled features; App settings and configuration; Online Store script-tag and theme information required to install, display, customize, or maintain App features; technical and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, diagnostics, logs, and support communications.
4. Shopify Permissions
The App accesses only Shopify data and store resources authorized by the Merchant through Shopify. Current access may include viewing customer email addresses, viewing store-owner details, viewing and editing customer data, and viewing or editing Online Store script tags and theme resources. Merchants may revoke access by uninstalling the App or through Shopify where available.
5. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not intentionally collect payment card information, customer passwords, or information unrelated to providing the App. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information unless it is provided by the Merchant and is reasonably necessary to deliver requested functionality.
6. How We Use Information
We use information to provide and operate App features; install, display, configure, and maintain storefront tools; process customer information only where required by enabled features; provide support; troubleshoot technical issues; improve reliability and performance; secure the App; prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized activity; comply with legal obligations; and communicate important service updates.
7. Legal Basis (GDPR/UK GDPR)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process Personal Data based on performance of a contract, legitimate interests, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where legally required.
8. Sharing Information
We may share information with cloud hosting providers, infrastructure providers, analytics and monitoring providers, customer-support platforms, email or communication providers, professional advisers, and government or legal authorities where required. Service providers process information only on our behalf and are required to protect it. We do not sell merchant or customer Personal Data.
9. International Transfers
Where information is transferred outside the country or region in which it was collected, we use appropriate safeguards, including contractual protections or other lawful transfer mechanisms where required.
10. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the Services, meet contractual and legal obligations, maintain security, resolve disputes, and protect our legal rights. Following App uninstallation, information that is no longer necessary is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period unless continued retention is required by law or for legitimate legal purposes.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, authentication, monitoring, backups, least-privilege access, and secure development practices. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
12. Merchant Responsibilities
Merchants are responsible for determining and meeting their own obligations as data controllers or businesses under applicable law, including providing required privacy notices, obtaining necessary consents, configuring App features lawfully, and responding to customer privacy requests.
13. Cookies and Analytics
The App may use cookies or similar technologies where necessary for authentication, security, diagnostics, analytics, or service operation. Our website may also use cookies and similar technologies for analytics, security, and website performance.
14. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. Requests may be submitted using the contact details below. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify the identity and authority of the requesting party.
15. California Privacy Notice
California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell or share Personal Data as those terms are defined by applicable California law.
16. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for businesses and is not directed toward children under the age of 13, or such higher minimum age as required by applicable law in your jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
17. Third-Party Services
The App interacts with Shopify and may rely on selected infrastructure, analytics, monitoring, communication, and support providers. Their own services and privacy practices are governed by their respective terms and policies.
18. Business Transfers
If MakeProSimp is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, corporate reorganization, or sale of assets, information covered by this Privacy Policy may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
19. Compliance with Shopify
The App is designed to operate in accordance with Shopify requirements applicable to app developers. Where Shopify requires MakeProSimp to process, retain, restrict, or delete information in a particular manner, we will comply with those requirements.
20. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, App functionality, platform requirements, or legal obligations. Material changes will be reflected by updating the Last Updated date.

Appendix A – Categories of Data
Merchant and Store Data: Store-owner name, email address, phone number, physical address, business information, store identifier, installation details, and App configuration.
Customer Data: Customer email address and other customer details required by enabled App features and authorized Shopify permissions.
Online Store Data: Script tags, theme templates, theme assets, and related configuration required to install, display, customize, or maintain App features.
Technical Data: IP address, browser, device, operating system, logs, diagnostics, and security information.
Support Data: Support requests, tickets, correspondence, and troubleshooting information.
The categories of information processed depend on the features enabled by the Merchant and the permissions granted through Shopify. Not every installation requires access to every category listed above.
Appendix B – Compliance Statement
This Privacy Policy is intended to provide transparency regarding information processed through the App. The App accesses only the Shopify data and store resources authorized by the Merchant and reasonably necessary to provide requested functionality. Merchants remain responsible for complying with privacy, consumer-protection, and marketing laws applicable to their own businesses.
