This Privacy Policy describes how MakeProSimp (“MakeProSimp”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects information when merchants install and use ToastiBar – Sales Popup (“App”) on the Shopline platform. This policy applies only to the Shopline version of ToastiBar.
1. About Us
MakeProSimp develops software applications and services for eCommerce merchants. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Shopline version of ToastiBar – Sales Popup. If you use another MakeProSimp application or visit our corporate website, the applicable privacy policy for that product or website will apply.
2. Scope
This policy applies to merchants using the Shopline version of ToastiBar. It does not govern Shopline’s own privacy practices.
3. Information We Collect
We may collect merchant account information (name, email, business information); Shopline store identifier and installation details; store settings and app configuration; products, collections, inventory, variants, and media where required; orders and order summaries necessary for notification generation; customer information required to display social proof notifications (such as first name or initials, city, country, purchased products, and purchase timestamps when enabled by the merchant); usage analytics, diagnostics, device/browser information, log files, and support communications. We collect only the information reasonably necessary to provide the functionality enabled by the Merchant and the permissions granted through the Shopline platform.
4. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not intentionally collect payment card information, customer passwords, or data unrelated to providing the App. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information unless it is provided by the Merchant and is necessary to deliver the requested functionality.
5. How We Use Information
Provide App functionality; display sales and social proof notifications; synchronize store information; improve performance and reliability; respond to support requests; detect fraud and abuse; meet legal obligations; and communicate service updates.
6. Legal Basis (GDPR)
Processing is based on contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and consent where applicable.
7. Sharing of Information
We may share information with hosting providers, infrastructure providers, analytics services, email providers, customer support tools, and legal authorities where required. We do not sell or rent merchant or customer personal information. Service providers process information only on our behalf and are obligated to protect it.
8. International Transfers
Where data is transferred outside the originating jurisdiction, appropriate contractual and organizational safeguards are implemented.
9. Data Retention
Data is retained only as long as necessary for service delivery, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and legitimate business purposes. Following app uninstallation, data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period unless retention is legally required. Certain information may be retained longer where required by law or to protect legal rights.
10. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, authentication, monitoring, least-privilege access, and regular security reviews. No transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
11. Merchant Responsibilities
Merchants are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary legal authority, customer notices, and consents required to process customer information through the App and for complying with applicable privacy and marketing laws.
12. Cookies and Analytics
Our website and certain App-related services may use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, analytics, diagnostics, security, and service improvement.
13. Your Rights
Where applicable, merchants may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to processing. Requests may be sent to [email protected].
14. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for businesses and is not directed toward children under the age of 13, or such higher minimum age as required by applicable law in your jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
15. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with Shopline services and carefully selected infrastructure providers. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Changes to third-party services may affect certain App features, and MakeProSimp is not responsible for such changes.
16. Business Transfers
If MakeProSimp is involved in a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, financing, or sale of assets, information covered by this Privacy Policy may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
17. Changes
We may revise this policy periodically. Material updates will be reflected by updating the Last Updated date.

Appendix A – Categories of Data
Store Data: products, collections, inventory, orders, settings.
Merchant Data: name, email, business contact.
Technical Data: logs, IP, browser, diagnostics.
Support Data: support tickets and communications.
The categories processed depend upon the features enabled by the Merchant and the permissions granted through the Shopline platform. Not every installation requires access to every category listed above.
Appendix B – Compliance Statement
This Privacy Policy is intended to promote transparency regarding how information is processed through the App. Merchants remain responsible for complying with privacy and data protection laws applicable to their own businesses.
